I went to Southern IL University in Carbondale for my undergrad where I received an B.A in recreation and a minor in Kinesiology. I am currently working on my MATC at North Park University in Chicago where I am in my last full year and by the end of 2021 I will have earned my MATC and PEL for K-12 Physical Education, Health Endorsement, along with my LBS1. Over the two years I have taught in the private school sector, and taught students from JK-8th grade. During my time at these schools, I have created and implemented a curriculum for Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Participated in weekly level meetings for both Jr. High as well as Specials. Interviewed by Winnetka Current (Local Paper) - brought the first adaptive sports unit to school. Led individual Student/Parent/Teacher conferences. Led the planning team in creating a successful Field Day for the school. I look forward to working with everyone in my first year at St. Monica Academy. I plan on being as active in the building as possible. I will have an open door policy and will be involved with the entire school JK-8th grade. The students will be engaged on a daily basis and will be pushed to think outside of the box and really explore their creative side to succeed. The children will grow inside and outside of the classroom, physically as well as mentally.
