Quarantine/Travel Guidelines: St. Monica Academy continues to follow changes in COVID-19 guidance from state and local health departments. As you may be aware, the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) revises their travel and quarantine restrictions. CDPH does not recommend travel at this time. They also update their travel advisory map every other Tuesday. The last update was yesterday. Please review these updated Quarantine Guidelines and advisory maps:
Traveling to Orange states: 10-day quarantine or a pre-arrival negative test result (no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival) with strict masking, social distancing and avoidance of in-person gatherings or be fully vaccinated, as defined as two weeks after the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or two weeks after one dose of a single-dose vaccine and not have symptoms and maintain strict masking and social distancing.
Traveling to Yellow states: No quarantine or pre-arrival test required. Maintain strict masking and social distancing.
Again, the map from the City of Chicago :: Emergency Travel Order was updated yesterday and will be updated again on Tuesday, April 3rd. For any travel related or vacation quarantines, E-learning is not available. Families that have been e-learning from the beginning of the school year can remain on e-learning. Again, E-learning is not available for non-covid related absences or vacation quarantines. Missed assignments and schoolwork due to travel or vacation quarantines can be picked up at the end of the school day at 3:00 upon request. Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions, please call me in the office.
Tardiness – We are still experiencing late arrivals and tardy students. Since the weather has improved, we would request that all families arrive on time by 8:15 each morning. Entering the classrooms after the late bell creates a disruption to our learning environment and to the school office at the beginning of our school day. We want to instill that promptness is important in school, work, and in life. Please help us with this to improve and minimize tardiness. Thank you!
