Dear St. Monica Academy Families,
I hope this message finds you all well.
Our Boosterthon has done incredibly well, and the Fun Run is tomorrow! Our students and their families have really stepped up for this institution and I want to thank all of you. The goal for the 2023-2024 school year was $20,000 and we surpassed that. We have had nightly challenges, which the student body has embraced. It has been fun to watch these mini-competitions between classrooms. As I wrote last week, the $20K goal enables four of us (me, Mr. Gonzo, Mrs. Engquist, and Ms. Osowski) to be slimed. On Monday, I announced that at $25K, Ms. Mellado would step in and do so as well. If by chance we reach, $28K, Mrs. Gamboa will step up and do so as well. And finally, if we reach $30,000, Ms. Wilwers will be slimed as well. We are still hoping for 100% participation for all students. This means to simply register; it doesn’t mean that a student must get someone to pledge (though that would be nice). We just want everyone to register. In addition, we are hoping to receive pledges from all 50 states. As of this writing, we are at 60% of the states. A great showing, but let’s finish this tonight!
As of this writing, Ms. Osowski’s 1st grade class has raised the most money. They are followed by Ms. Fricano’s 3rd grade, then Mrs. Price’s Kindergarten class, and then Ms. Wilwers’ 4th grade class. Though these are the top four, very many homerooms are able to close that gap.
Coming home today will be the Boosterthon Fun Run T-shirts. Please be sure to wear these tomorrow.
On Thursday, April 18 our Boosterthon schedule is as follows:
Here is some additional school news:
Re-registration remains in progress. Earlier, we sent home re-registration forms and the tuition matrix for the 2024-2025 year. Also, and this is important, to ease the registration process, if you are re-registering one student, but will have a new student joining us in the building next year (a re-registration + a new registration in any form), please contact Mrs. Reykjalin directly.
As always, visit the St. Monica Academy website to sign up for volunteer opportunities and to read about the importance of our fundraising efforts.
Go Mustangs!

In His Name,
Wayne Wenzel, Jr.
