Haiku Contest Awards: Congratulations to 8th grader, Maeve Brunell for her top award at the 17th Annual Haiku Festival. Her essay was entitled How I Changed Over Lockdown. The Haiku Fest celebrates children through poetry and the arts, while promoting literacy. In addition, our junior high Reading teacher, Ms. Courtney Wilwers earned the honor of Teacher of the Year for her expertise and efforts with her students in writing haikus, poetry, and essays. https://haikufest.com/ Congratulations!

Garden Hand Spades Needed: We are going to start preparing the gardens during Earth Week next week. If you have any used or new hand spades that you would like to donate to the school, we would appreciate it.
Spring Picture Makeup Day is scheduled for Thursday, April 29th since several classrooms missed the last date.
Donated Masks: Around 200 custom face masks were donated to the school this week. We will be sending one home in a plastic bag for each student next week. Thank you to the anonymous donor.
