Dear St. Monica Academy Families,
Honor Roll: Congratulations to all of our Honor Roll Students listed for 1st Quarter in grades 6-8. You continue to work hard on your academics during extraordinary times. You are also showing that you are able to adapt to a different learning environment and face greater challenges than ever before. Keep up the great work. We are all proud of you! HonorRollGrades6th-
Thanksgiving Travel and Quarantine: If you plan on traveling to “no travel states” for Thanksgiving, your student must quarantine for 14 days upon return to Chicago. With the recent rapid increase in Covid infections, we have to be as careful as possible for the safety of our students, families, and staff. I appreciate all that families are doing and your openness. I will always assume positive intentions, but we must follow the guidelines and be aware of the list of travel ban states if planning on travelling. Thank you for your cooperation. Here is the no travel list for Chicago which lists 44 states as “no travel states”: https://www.chicago.gov/city/

Sports Update: Winter sports will not be allowed this year system-wide. You may already be aware of this from the Archdiocese of Chicago newsletter that was sent out recently.
Boosterthon: We profited more than $16,500 for our Boosterthon Dance Party Fundraiser. The top pledging class, raising $124 per dance minute, was Mrs. Price’s kindergartners. The kindergartners were able to “shaving cream” Mr. Coleman last week and enjoyed that very much! Second highest was Mrs. Rosenbusch’s 2nd grade class raising $104 per, followed by Mrs. Mash’s 6th grade class at $91 per, Mrs Wegloski’s PreK4 class at $85 per, Mrs. Cerjak’s 4th grade class at $77 per, and Ms Leniart’s 1st graders at $76 per dance minute. Thank you all!
Coming Soon!
Sincerely,
Ray Coleman, Principal
