March 13, 220
Dear St. Monica Academy Families,
A system-wide closure of all Catholic has been announced Friday March 13, 2020. St. Monica Academy will be implementing e-learning days as a result of the COVID-19 virus outbreak beginning Monday, March 16th until further notice. Since St. Monica Academy has a Professional Day scheduled for Monday, March 16th, our first day of e-learning will be Tuesday, March 17th. You will be receiving your assignments via email by 9:00 a.m. for each school day or the evening before. The assignments will come directly from your child’s teacher. E-learning is the use of technology to enable students to learn anytime and anywhere. Teachers will have standards-based math, literacy, and religion lessons that correlate to what the students are learning in their classrooms. Older grades will also be required to complete work in science and social studies. Please read through the information below to ensure you have a good understanding of the expectations of e-learning days.
Here are a few important details how e-learning works.
We are confident that e-learning will not only help us in times of need, but that students will become more independent and organized workers. It will also prepare them for a technologically advanced future. If the availability of Internet access is an issue for your family, please notify the school office immediately so that teachers can make proper accommodations. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Ray Coleman, Principal
