A preschool thru 8th-grade experience awaits your child. Our curriculum is based on the Archdiocese of Chicago and Illinois state standards, and features our innovative SEEDS Environmental Curriculum.
On average, our full-time teachers have 15 years of classroom experience and many have Master’s degrees or advanced certifications. They stay apprised of current technology and educational trends through professional development opportunities. Mr. Ray Coleman serves as the principal and oversees and manages the testing and assessment of students and the use of educational tools.
Our teachers, staff, and administrators have developed a culture where our focus is on educating the whole child. Their continued development is supported by the Danielson Framework for Teaching, a tool principals use for coaching teachers to increase instructional capacity. It is based on documented observations, goal-setting and reflective dialogue between the principal and the teacher.
At St. Monica Academy we pride ourselves on maintaining an environment that is conducive to student success. AdvanceEd Accreditation means that we use a set of rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria to examine the whole institution – the policies, programs, practices, learning conditions and cultural context – to determine how well the parts work together to carry out the institution’s vision and meet the needs of every learner.
We place emphasis on strong math, science, and language arts curriculum, as well as the arts, wellness, and our Catholic faith.
Your family has many options when it comes to your child’s education.
We are confident that St. Monica Academy will provide your child with the best experience for educational and spiritual growth. We will prepare him or her for success at the next level.
