I know that this has been a challenging time for our Catholic school families and educators. Nevertheless, I have been sincerely impressed by the hard work of our students, parents/guardians, and educators. Our Catholic school teachers and principals have demonstrated extreme dedication as they have implemented high-quality e-learning and alternative learning programs. They have distinguished themselves in reaching out to individual families to ensure that students are learning, are safe, and happy. I am extremely grateful to our educators for their continued efforts in these unprecedented circumstances.
As you may have heard, Governor Pritzker earlier today announced the cancellation of face-to-face instruction for the remainder of the academic year for all Illinois schools. While we are saddened to receive confirmation that we won't be returning to our schools this year, we are not surprised. Our staff has been at work preparing for this news, and we are confident that we will continue to provide an excellent educational experience through E-Learning with the support of our resourceful teachers and you.
This is our first time using E-learning exclusively. However, students are familiar with some E-learning options that we already have built in to allow them to learn remotely. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have if you did not receive your assignment for the day or have any questions. I am also available to help in any way.
